We will offer flexible meeting times for parent meetings, when requested, such as after- school or evenings.

We will involve parents in an organized, ongoing and timely way through the School Council, in the planning, review and improvement of program plans, including parent involvement policy and school wide plans.

We will provide parents with:

•   school report cards

•   their child's individual assessment results

•   a description and explanation of the curriculum •   opportunities for regular meetings

•   timely responses to suggestions made by parents

We will share the responsibility with parents to insure that all students meet high standards through the development and implementation of a School-Family Compact.

The partnership between home and the Thurgood Marshall Middle School will be supported by the School Council made up of parents, teachers, principal and the community representatives who will continually assess, plan and implement strategies that help build the partnership.
